Halloween Night: Neighborhood Trick-or-Treating
Saturday, Oct 31 · After sunset, across all SCV neighborhoods
Halloween on a Saturday means the whole valley is out on the streets. Valencia's paseo-lined neighborhoods are legendary for trick-or-treating, with its connected walkways letting kids cover a lot of porches without crossing busy streets. Saugus, Newhall, Stevenson Ranch, and Canyon Country each have their own friendly circuits, and many SCV HOAs and churches add trunk-or-treats and block parties around the main event. Take the City of Santa Clarita's Halloween safety guidance to heart: add glow sticks or reflective tape to costumes, carry a flashlight, check all candy before anyone digs in, keep pets indoors, and drive slowly through neighborhoods all evening. A porch light on means you are open for business, and most SCV neighborhoods trick-or-treat roughly from dusk to 9 PM.
Saturday, October 31 from dusk to about 9 PM in neighborhoods across Santa Clarita. See the full family Halloween guide for more ideas.
Fright Fest 2026: Final Weekend at Six Flags Magic Mountain
Friday-Sunday, Oct 30 - Nov 1 · 26101 Magic Mountain Pkwy, Valencia
This is the last chance for the 33rd season of Southern California's biggest Halloween event. Fright Fest closes out with all seven haunted mazes and seven scare zones, including the two new mazes that debuted this year: Final Destination: Death's Playground and Wolves' Blood. Halloween night itself is one of the most electric nights of the entire run, with the park packed, costumes everywhere, and the rides running in the dark. Evening hours run 7 PM to midnight on Sunday and 7 PM to 1 AM on Friday and Saturday. Buy tickets online in advance, because peak Halloween weekend sells out.
Final nights Friday, October 30, Saturday, October 31, and Sunday, November 1 at Six Flags Magic Mountain, 26101 Magic Mountain Parkway, Valencia. See the complete Fright Fest guide for the insider playbook.
Valencia Town Center Pumpkin Patch: Trick-or-Treat Finale
Daily through Oct 31 · Westfield Valencia Town Center grounds
The mall grounds' October-long pumpkin patch festival saves its biggest moment for Halloween day: pumpkins, bounce houses, games, food trucks, and live music all month, capped by a big Trick-or-Treat finale on October 31. It is the perfect warm-up for the evening neighborhood rounds, and because it is on the mall grounds you can pair it with a late-afternoon treat run before the sun goes down. Families with little ones love it for the safe, open, well-lit space, and older kids get their fill before the serious doorbell duty begins.
Daily October 1-31 at the Westfield Valencia Town Center grounds, 24201 Valencia Blvd, Valencia. Finale day: Saturday, October 31.
Full Pumpkin Patch & Family Halloween GuideGilchrist Farm Harvest Festival: Final Weekend
Saturday & Sunday, Oct 31 - Nov 1 · 29500 Bouquet Canyon Rd
The valley's favorite fall tradition says goodbye for the season this weekend. Gilchrist Farm's Harvest Festival runs its final two days with the pumpkin patch, pony rides, hayrides, corn maze, farm animals, face painting, archery, and fall food vendors all on Bouquet Canyon Road. Halloween day on the farm is a wonderfully mellow alternative to the busy town celebrations, and Sunday, November 1 is the last day the pumpkins are out at all. Admission and parking stay free, and the farm is open roughly 9 AM to 6 PM, so a morning visit on either day beats the afternoon crowds.
Saturday, October 31 and Sunday, November 1 at Gilchrist Farm, 29500 Bouquet Canyon Road, Santa Clarita. See the full Harvest Festival guide.
Tricks and Treats: Family Daytime Finale
Friday-Sunday, daytime · Six Flags Magic Mountain
For the under-12 crowd, Tricks and Treats is the way to enjoy Magic Mountain during the Halloween season: a daytime, family-friendly event with a Trick-or-Treat Trail, activities, and rides, minus the monsters that come out at 7 PM. It runs Fridays through Sundays, so this is its final weekend of the year. Get there when the park opens, hit the trail early, and you can be home in time for the neighborhood rounds on Saturday night.
Friday, October 30 through Sunday, November 1 during park daytime hours at Six Flags Magic Mountain, 26101 Magic Mountain Parkway, Valencia. Details in the Fright Fest guide.
Enchanted Cemetery Pumpkin Patch: Final Days
Thursday-Saturday, Oct 29-31 · 23450 Newhall Ave, Newhall
The Enchanted Cemetery in Newhall wraps its October run this weekend. It is less a haunted house and more a whimsical, mildly spooky pumpkin patch with pumpkin picking, archery, scavenger hunts, arcade games, face painting, live entertainment, and plenty of photo ops in front of the vintage cemetery gates on Newhall Avenue. Halloween weekend is its busiest stretch, so a visit Thursday or Friday is the quieter way to catch it before the season ends.
Open Thursday through Sunday through October 31 (its final stretch is October 29-31) at 23450 Newhall Ave, Newhall. Confirm daily hours locally before you go.
Farmers Markets: Old Town Newhall & College of the Canyons
Saturday & Sunday · Peak fall harvest
Late October is the peak of the fall harvest at the valley's markets. The Old Town Newhall Farmers Market fills the library parking lot at 24500 Main Street on Saturday from 8:30 AM to 1 PM with peppers, pomegranates, artisan goods, and a coffee-and-brunch walk down Main, the perfect calm start to a busy Halloween day and a direct way to support Old Town's businesses during the fire recovery. Sunday morning the Certified Farmers' Market sets up in Parking Lot 5 at College of the Canyons (Valencia Blvd & Rockwell Canyon Rd) from 8 AM to noon, year-round. Load up on apples and winter squash for the week ahead, and grab a caramel apple while they are still in season.
